Katerina Oikonomou is a London-based coloratura soprano whose work bridges classical opera, contemporary performance, and screen practice. She trained at the Opera at the Athens Conservatoire, and has since continued her artistic development through advanced studies in acting (Uta Hagen), stagecraft (short NOS, London), on-camera performance, and contemporary performance art under Marina Abramović and the MAI. Her operatic repertoire includes Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte) and Konstanze (Die Entführung aus dem Serail), reflecting both vocal virtuosity and strong theatrical presence.
An internationally awarded artist, Katerina has received top prizes at competitions in Europe, the UK, and the United States, including First Prizes and Grand Gold distinctions. Fluent in Greek and English, with working knowledge of several European languages, she brings a multidisciplinary background that includes dance, martial arts, fencing, and motorcycle riding, informing a physically grounded, expressive, and intellectually rigorous approach to performance.
